So no blog yesterday :o hope you all managed without it! It was a very busy day and a tired evening so had no time to fit one in. We went out and did all the Christmas shopping today, was so so busy but at least it all got done! We left the Sock Dogs alone to fend for themselves. The house was still standing when we got home and they appeared to have fun from the photos we found. Here is Brenda whipping up a storm in the kitchen...
Then it looks like after lunch they played a little game of hide and seek, here's a photo of Pinky we found, she is trying to look inconspicuous next to Paddington Bear and Eeyore...
Looks like all the fun and games that were had whilst we were out eventually got the better of one sock doggy though because when we got home we found Perky, still in her scarf (must have been playing outside) looking a little like this...
I felt a little like doing this myself too after being all shopped out, there's only so much I can take in one day! Wrapped loads of presents and wrote loads of cards when I got home, nearly got everything ready for Christmas with only a few bits left to do and then can relax and enjoy the build up making more time for bringing more Sock Dogs into the world, hopefully the next blog will feature some pictures of new creations that will be going in the window at our Folksy store, go over and have a little look at http://www.folksy.com/shops/mollyandizzie also don't forget to visit our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/thesockdogcompany and one final plug dont forget our twitter, just look out for @Sock_dogs
One more little photo before I go, its been a hard day for Louis too, here he is just chilling out..
Time to go now, got a little bit of time left to finish another Sock Dog before relaxing for the rest of the evening, I deserve it after a busy day :) hope to see you all again on the next blog!

01/12/11 Goodbye Santa's Little Helper...
Today marks the turn of December and officially the start of Christmas, wahoo!! My partner spent most of the day fighting with the Christmas tree, but it was up and ready for decoration by the time i got home from work :) here it is...
After a bit of decoration and listening to Christmas songs we managed to transform it from boring green looking tree to a colorful Christmas looking tree.
Today also marked Santa's Little Helper's last day with us, he will be sent off tomorrow to join his new owner Laurel we all hope he enjoys himself in his new home and that he stays in touch with his friends left here! Here he is in his box ready to go saying his last goodbyes.
And finally we have 2 new additions to the shop on our Folksy store. Following on with the popular Christmas them Santa's Little Helpers younger brother Santa's little elf and Little Angel. You can check them out here http://www.folksy.com/shops/mollyandizzie here's a picture of Little Angel.
Isn't he cute? Anyway many more Sock Dogs to come in the future, busy weekend ahead making! Oh wait, one more photo, Digby climbed to the top of the tree!
Lots of photos in this one, hope you are enjoying the blog!

30/11/11 Swaps and Sales....
Today wasn't a good day for sock dogs who wanted their pictures taken outside (again!) they are growing frustrated because they really like it outdoors but its wet and they would get soggy so not a good idea! Here is Digby looking longingly out of the window.
Last night we made a special friend on twitter called Gavin, he is from Wales and was our 50th follower, not bad after only being online for 2 days. Anyway Gavin loves all the little sock dogs and because he was our 50th follower and a special friend we are arranging a swap with him, a sock dog for a special Ted that he is going to make us from fabric. Here is Digby checking out what his followers are up to on Twitter earlier.
Santa's Little Helper also sold on the Folksy store today, he will be going to his new owner Laurel (also one of our Twitter followers) very soon, he will be missed but is the second Christmassy dog to go, they are going down a real treat.
Anyway, must go now as more dogs to make now stock in the store is running low, keep reading the blog and follow us on twitter @sock_dogs

29/11/2011 first sale from the new site....
So today has been a good day! Although the sock dogs weren't very happy overall as they wanted to go outside and have the pictures taken, due to the weather this wasn't possible, would have ended up with soggy sock dogs and that's no good! Here is Digby looking longingly out the window, he lives with me permanently and is the first one i ever made :)
Rudolf the Christmas sock dog sold today! My first sale since launching the website, twitter page and folksy store, am very happy with it as it only took a day to sell! I might make some more Christmas themed dogs if there is demand for stocking fillers. The other sock dogs are happy he has found a new home but will also miss him, hopefully his new owner will send a picture to show how he is doing in his new place.
Anyway that is all for now, i like to keep the blogs short so i can do them often, many more sock dogs to be made and added to the website by the weekend, keep an eye on www.sockdogs.co.uk!

Up And Running 28/11/2011...
So The Sock Dog Company website and twitter page have been launched today with the facebook page to follow very soon. We have been very busy making new sock dogs to add to the shop on www.sockdogs.co.uk aswell as designing the website and twitter page.
A lot of hard work and effort has gone in so far and there will be much more to follow. Special prototype custom sock dogs are being created before being uploaded to the site so that people can see what designs can be done and give food for thought. The idea for the shop so far is to create general dogs and then make some dogs on request for special occasions.
Some of the sock dogs that have already been sold have been back in touch and are displayed on the website, photos taken by their new owners and they all look like they are enjoying their new lives! Here is Codey with his new pal Chester...
Keep checking back as i will update the blog as often as possible, in between day to day life and making the cute little doggies. Feel free to follow the antics of the dogs on twitter at www.twitter.com/sock_dogs or search for @sock_dogs!
